Full Time Care Worker
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 8am–2:30pm, 1:30pm–8pm or 8am–8pm
Location: Heathlands Village, Prestwich
The Fed is the leading social care charity for the Greater Manchester Jewish community. We are dedicated to creating a community where people feel safe, valued and cared for — and we’re looking for compassionate Care Workers to join our team.
About the Role
As a Care Worker, you’ll play a vital part in supporting people with a range of health and social care needs, including older adults, people with disabilities, learning difficulties or dementia. You will help individuals remain as independent as possible while ensuring their dignity, wellbeing and personal choices are respected.
Your work will include:
- Delivering personal care (washing, dressing, oral care, bathing)
- Assisting with meals and refreshments
- Keeping living spaces clean, tidy and welcoming
- Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support
- Encouraging participation in activities and hobbies
- Supporting cultural and religious needs within our Jewish community
- Recording care on our Care Vision system
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Kind, patient and empathetic
- Honest, reliable and respectful
- Positive, proactive and proud of the care you give
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English
- Willing to complete mandatory training
- Experienced in care — or ready to learn and work toward a qualification
