Are you a Holocaust survivor or refugee? The Fed can help you produce your own life storybook as a treasured keepsake for yourself, your family and, future generations. ‘My Voice’ is a specialist project run by The Fed’s Volunteer Services.
My Voice differs from other testimony projects which generally focus on people’s experiences during the Shoah. We celebrate your entire life, not just your experience during the years of the war.
We record, transcribe and publish your remarkable story in an individual storybook.
Supported by our project coordinator, a befriending volunteer from The Fed will record your memories. Other volunteers will be involved in the design and production of your book.
People who have taken part in My Voice have found it an empowering, rewarding experience. As their stories are recognised as lasting legacies and important educational resources, their books are archived at ‘Yad Vashem’ – The World Holocaust Remembrance Centre, in Jerusalem.
The Fed is working alongside Yad Vashem for the storybooks to be used for Holocaust education.
