Our Staff

It may surprise you to know that there are over 300 people working at Heathlands Village. Apart from our care and nursing team we employ chefs and kitchen staff, hospitality staff, porters, drivers and handymen.

The list goes on with teams of housekeepers, customer service and laundry staff. Behind-the-scenes in our offices we have HR, Training, Health and Safety, Finance, IT, Fundraising and Marketing departments too. All of them work together to ensure we offer you the very best standard of care.

Many employees at Heathlands Village have been with us for a good number of years – even decades! And there are a lot of families working here too – brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, aunties and nieces.

This all helps to give our home a warm, family feel and makes it a very happy place to work. That is probably why so many of our staff members stay with us for a long time.

All of our staff must undertake compulsory training. Staff personal development is very high on our agenda. We want people to be satisfied in their work, have room to progress and plenty of opportunity for ongoing training. We encourage them to complete professional qualifications.
