Involving the family

Family and friends are encouraged to visit you as often as possible – as long as you are happy with this – and stay involved in your care.

We can discuss anything about your care with your family, provided you are in agreement with this.

Feedback

We value the feedback from family and friends, and this includes letting us know how we could do things better. This enables us to continually improve.

We have placed ‘Feedback Boxes’ around Heathlands Village where you and your family or visitors can leave your comments – whether positive or negative – anonymously or otherwise.

Coming to stay

If you would like a relative or friend to visit you overnight, they can stay in a guest bedroom. If you’d prefer, we can also place a fold-away bed in your room.

Volunteer

A few things we’d like you to know about volunteering

Just an hour or two of your time every week or fortnight can make an enormous difference to someone’s life.

Volunteering...
... is vital to The Fed. We could not survive without them. They’re involved in almost every aspect of our work.
Volunteering...
...is essential to our work. We never have enough volunteers. We always need more, even for one off jobs.
Volunteering...
... is a two-way thing: volunteers get as much out of it as the people they support.
Volunteering...
... gives you a reason to get out of bed in the morning – knowing you’re going to be making someone happy.
