Imagine being immersed in a warm bath, in a beautiful forest-themed bathroom, laying back, knowing you’re safe and feeling totally relaxed … aaah Bliss
But not everyone can experience this. As we age and become more frail and less mobile, or if we suffer from a disability, taking a bath can become a thing of the past – it’s too difficult or even unsafe.
However, Bliss – The Fed’s bathing service – enables you or someone you look after to safely experience one of life’s simple pleasures once again.
Situated in our Moorview Supported Independent Community at Heathlands Village, the service offers an adjustable spa bath which can be used independently or with the help of a Bliss bathing assistant.
Various options are included: – jacuzzi; essential oil humidifier; music; atmospheric lighting; bubbles and as much or as little help as you need to get in and out of the bath, and with your personal care.
Above all it is a sensitive, dignified service for the client, which also offers family carers an opportunity to switch off, relax and recharge perhaps with a visit to our Village Coffee shop.
Feedback and results have been remarkable – one non-communicative lady (due to dementia) verbally expressed her enjoyment and while bathing talked to her assistant about her family. Later, unusually, she slept through the night.
Monday to Thursday from 10-6pm | Sunday 1-6pm
£25 per 1hr session
