Funding your care & accommodation

Funding for your care & accommodation

Before moving into Heathlands Village our Admissions Team will discuss what type of care you need. At the same time they will talk to you about our charges and the different payment methods.

The cost depends on the level of care you need – whether this is low, medium or high. There may be an additional cost for certain rooms  which are considered superior on the basis of their size, position or décor or a combination of these.

Funding for your care

Public funding may be available from your Local Council and/or from the NHS, to help you pay for your care at Heathlands Village. You will be assessed by a social worker to find out if you are eligible to receive funding for your care.

Public funding will not cover all of the costs of your care. Your family, if you have one, will be expected to make a full ‘third party contribution’, often referred to as a ‘top-up’, towards the costs of your care.

If you do not have any family or they cannot afford to meet the costs you can apply to The Fed as a charity to meet these.

Helpful information about funding can be found here: www.ageuk.org.uk or by asking for a factsheet by calling 0800 169 6565.
