Recent weeks have seen a flurry of activity from our Activity Team at Heathlands Village, as they took advantage of the decidedly un-British hot weather and organised some fun activities in the Village gardens.
An afternoon tea under the marquee was a popular get-together in late June, with scones and drinks for all – and a nice shady spot for a game of cards.
Taking a leaf out of the nation’s favourite July sporting event, Wimbledon came to The Fed with matches arranged on the grass and patio – whilst others preferred to soak up the sun and watch from the sidelines – all of course helped along with servings of strawberries and cream!
And as summer rolled along, the Olympics came to Heathlands Village with a selection of events which residents competed in for Fed glory.
Activity Lead, Nick Burgess, described the Games as “…great fun, all about teamwork – and helping us cheer on Team GB even louder! Everyone was a winner…all the participants received a gold medal at our awards ceremony.”
