You can’t underestimate the benefits of a good get together and that’s why The Fed puts so much effort into holding community events.
Over 150 people joined us at The Hilton Suite on 9 May as our Volunteer Services team held a magnificent Coronation Afternoon Tea party.
Those attending were people who come along to our regular North Manchester community coffee stops, other Fed clients along with members of synagogues The Fed partners with through its FEDLink project, which supports and trains the volunteers of shul outreach committees. Even the King and Queen making a surprise appearance – well sort of!
Jewish festivals and national celebrations such as the Coronation are always marked in style with parties organised across all service areas – for people living in Heathlands Village, for parents and children attending our Mums ‘n’ Tots or Fedlings groups, for children who attend our Project Smile Play & Learn sessions or, as here, for our community clients.
Just one priority – making sure everyone has a chance to let their hair down, enjoy great entertainment and know that they are valued members of our community.
Thank you to everyone in our Volunteer Services team and our amazing Volunteers for their hard work in creating this lovely, memorable event, and here’s to many more special opportunities to celebrate together – or just get together for a cuppa and a chinwag at our regular coffee stops in North and South Manchester.
Long Live The King!
