Manchester United’s superstar striker Marcus Rashford recently put the spotlight firmly on school meals with his funding campaign for families in need.

Closer to home, The Fed picked up the baton and launched our ‘Lunch Is Not A Luxury’ campaign, aimed at providing meal vouchers for families over the winter holidays.

The campaign goal was to raise £20,000 – a target which was smashed in under 48 hours by the generosity of the incredible Manchester Jewish community.

Working together with local schools and social support organisations, over £23,000 of Tesco vouchers has now been distributed to 423 children and their families across the community.

In addition to the vouchers, a special menu guide listing five affordable and healthy two-course Kosher meals that can feed 4 people for under £20 has been provided to each family, created by The Fed.
