The Fed and Langdon College have teamed up in first-of-its-kind project to produce a community calendar of shared artwork.
All the artwork has been created by pupils of the college and residents of Heathlands Village, and the calendar will go on sale in September 2019 .
From the first session held at Heathlands Village on 5th May, through to the final session in July, the group created themes for each month.
Some reference the Jewish calendar – Shavuos the most recent theme to be completed – while others followed the activities that the newly-made friends enjoyed together, including tea-parties and playing with newborn ducklings.
Tenants of Moorview House – The Fed’s Independent Living Facility at Heathlands Village – recently welcomed students of Langdon College for a calendar arts and crafts session.
Laughter filled the air and stories were shared – with a special performance on the ukulele to finish!
We love working in partnership with other organisations to benefit the community.
With Langdon College, we’ve certainly hit on a relationship that has been as fruitful as it has been enjoyable for the participants.
Look out for the calendar, coming soon!
