The latest initiative from our London-based FedEx committee – a Chanukah Toy Drive – attracted a deluge of gifts for children with additional needs who are supported by The Fed.
The young service users either attend group sessions held at our Children’s Centre under the umbrella of our Project Smile Play & Learn service, or benefit from an allocated social worker or support worker from our Community Advice and Support Team (CAST).
The fantastic response to the appeal meant that over 100 children enjoyed a far brighter Chanukah, receiving toys and games hand-picked by our experienced Play Leader, Carol Booth, to specifically meet each child’s individual needs.
Natasha Sarak, Fed Fundraiser and Events Planner, was delighted to receive the gifts as they arrived at Heathlands Village, ordered from a specially-created Amazon Wishlist, before wrapping them and readying the load for the big reveal on Chanukah!
