Fed Friday is a hit!

With 110 registered hosts, this year’s Fed Friday event is well on course to hit its £6,000 fundraising target.

Fed Friday is the annual community-wide Shabbat event when fans of the charity host a Friday night dinner for their friends and family, asking their guests to make a donation instead of bringing a gift.

Fundraising Officer, Zoe Slotwiner said,

“This year, Fed Friday has been extremely well received and a record number of people signed up to raise money for the charity. Donations are still coming in.

All hosts were given a goodie bag which was packed with treats from local businesses. We want to thank Hilary Cakes for donating Fed-themed cupcakes, Kedem for supplying grape juice and Hadassah Walker for the match-box labels.

We also held a competition to find the best dressed table. I’m delighted to announce that the winner is Janice Haber who made a great effort to decorate her table in The Fed’s colours.
