The Fed is delighted to announce that an extraordinary £800,000 was raised through this year’s Dinners With A Difference series, thanks to the generosity of 630 guests and supporters from across the community.
Held across seven intimate dinners in North and South Manchester, the events brought together friends, supporters and partners of The Fed to learn more about the charity’s work and the impact their support makes possible. The remarkable total represents a significant contribution towards The Fed’s annual fundraising target of £2.5 million, helping to ensure vital services can continue reaching those who need them most.
Throughout the series, guests watched three powerful films showcasing the breadth and depth of The Fed’s work. These included the compassionate and complex support provided to the victims, survivors and families affected by the Heaton Park Synagogue terrorist attack, alongside insight into the many community services delivered every day to support people facing a wide range of physical, emotional and mental health challenges.
The dinners also highlighted the exceptional standard of care provided at Heathlands Village, where residents benefit from state-of-the-art elder care delivered within a warm, welcoming and proudly Jewish environment.
At the heart of the evenings was Not Alone, a moving film which reflected on The Fed’s 160-year history of supporting the community. The film illustrated how, generation after generation, The Fed has served as a constant source of care, dignity and support for those facing vulnerability, hardship and crisis.
The success of the Dinners With A Difference series was made possible by the dedication of supporters who continue to invest in The Fed’s mission. Their generosity enables The Fed to support more Jewish people across Greater Manchester than any other organisation, providing essential services that transform lives every day.
The Fed extends its deepest thanks to everyone who attended the dinners, made donations and supports the charity throughout the year. Together, these contributions ensure that individuals and families across the community can continue receiving the care and support they need.
The charity would also like to acknowledge the outstanding organisations and individuals who helped make the events such a success:
- Beaverbrooks the Jewellers, for their continued and valued support of The Fed.
- Millk, for producing the powerful and engaging films shown throughout the series.
- Celia’s Kitchen, for providing exceptional food and hospitality.
- Alibi Altrincham, for delivering smooth and professional bar service.
- Ruthless Images, for capturing the events through outstanding photography.
- Keytech, for providing seamless technical production across all seven dinners.
Their generosity, expertise and partnership played an important role in creating a memorable experience for guests and helping maximise the impact of the fundraising appeal.
