Sixteen dedicated supporters took on the Ullswater 6 Peaks Challenge in July, raising an impressive £7,500 to support The Fed’s wide range of life-transforming, and often life-saving, services.

The annual fundraising trek saw participants tackle six peaks around the picturesque Ullswater region of the Lake District, covering a demanding 26 kilometres and climbing almost 1,200 metres over the course of the day.

The trekkers successfully summited:

  • Hallin Fell (388m)
  • Steel Knotts (432m)
  • Wether Hill (676m)
  • Loadpot Hill (672m)
  • Bonscale Pike (524m)
  • Arthur’s Pike (533m)

Alongside the physical challenge, participants were rewarded with favourable weather conditions, spectacular scenery and a memorable day of achievement, camaraderie and fundraising.

The funds raised will help The Fed continue providing vital support to people across the community, enabling the charity to deliver services that make a meaningful difference to the lives of individuals and families every day.

The trek formed part of The Fed’s popular Trek 4 The Fed initiative, which has grown into a much-anticipated annual event. This year’s challenge marked the seventh year of organising the fundraising treks, which continue to attract supporters eager to combine adventure with philanthropy.

Beyond the fundraising total, the event showcased the commitment and determination of those who support The Fed’s work. Every participant played a part in helping to ensure that essential services can continue reaching those who need them most.

The Fed extends its sincere thanks and congratulations to all 16 trekkers for their fantastic achievement, fundraising efforts and enthusiasm throughout the challenge.

As Trek 4 The Fed continues to grow in popularity, plans are already underway for future adventures.
