Over 70 guests paid tribute to two of The Fed’s former Board Members and Presidents at a dinner on 28 November, 2018.  Herzl Hamburger and Leslie Kaye BEM, were honoured for half century of service, in the presence of close family, friends and The Fed’s senior management.

Leslie stepped down from The Fed’s board at our AGM in November, whilst Herzl retired in November 2015.

Mark Adlestone MBE DL, current Board Member and past Chairman of The Fed, presented Leslie with a plaque commemorating his 60 years of service.  He highlighted Leslie’s key role in bringing about the merger of The Fed and Heathlands Village in 2009.

Chairman, Bernie Yaffe told the crowd, “Leslie and Herzl are role models not only for our existing Board, but for those who will continue to serve in the future.”

He added, “They put the organisation above egos and promoted collaboration for the benefit of the community and the greater good. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their incredible support of the organisation, their commitment, and their longstanding friendship with The Fed.”
