On June 8th and 9th, I’ll be participating in a commemorative walk, 50km from Carlisle Airport to Windermere.
This journey retraces the journey taken by the Windermere Boys, who were among the first child survivors of the Holocaust who 80 years ago were helped to rehabilitate in a special camp set up in Windermere. I would like to honour them and all survivors, for their resilience and hope after experiencing unimaginable horrors.
It’s a tough challenge but I thought it would be great to raise some money for an amazing cause.
I’m undertaking this walk to support The Fed’s crucial “My Voice” project, which partners with Yad Vashem UK to create life-story books for Holocaust education. These books ensure that the powerful voices of Holocaust survivors continue to be heard and remembered by future generations.
Please donate whatever you can to help keep these invaluable stories alive. Your generosity will directly contribute to Holocaust education and remembrance.
I really appreciate your support.
Thank you
