After enjoying last year’s trek so much, I’ve decided to take on a new challenge — the Ullswater 6 Peak Challenge. This means a 25km hike with 900m of elevation, all to raise vital funds for The Fed.

The Fed is the leading social care charity for the Greater Manchester Jewish community, supporting 1 in 7 Jewish homes and more than 6,500 people every single year. Their impact is extraordinary.

They provide professional, compassionate support to people facing mental health struggles, poverty, sexual and domestic abuse, urges to self‑harm, isolation, loneliness, life‑limiting illness and bereavement. They also work closely with Holocaust Survivors and Refugees, helping them share and preserve their life stories.

I know there are many demands on people’s generosity, and times are tough for everyone. But the challenges faced by those The Fed helps are even tougher — and they rely heavily on our community. 90% of their funding comes from the Manchester Jewish community, which means they need our support now more than ever.

Any donation, big or small, would mean so much.

Thank you,

Michael
