On Monday 9th June, I am taking part in a fund-raising sponsored walk (22 Km) to raise money for the My Voice project.
The My Voice project is a unique storytelling initiative which empowers Holocaust Survivors and Refugees to tell the stories of their whole lives – before, during and after the Holocaust in their own words. Their reflections are recorded, transcribed, and illustrated into individual life-story books.
My Voice books ensure that these stories will never be forgotten and provide vital educational resources to combat Holocaust denial.
To date the project has published 45 books, with another 15 in the process of production. The books are held in libraries across the world, including Yad Vashem, and are used as an educational tool in schools and other organisations.
This project is very dear to my heart as both my parents were holocaust survivors. More information can be found at https://myvoice.org.uk/
Any donation – large or small – is most welcome and will help keep the life stories alive in these troubling times of denial and hatred.
