Hi, my name is Harper, I’m 12 years old and I am very proud to say that I am part of The Fed’s bar/bat Mitzvah programme for Jewish boys and girls the same age as me!
I’ve absolutely loved being involved with The Fed; it has taught me so many things. I’ve taken part in all sorts of activities ranging from volunteering with elderly clients, doing activities with residents of Heathlands Village as well as learning and appreciating how hard it is for some people to live their lives, even small tasks like holding their own fork or getting dressed can be difficult.
I feel like I have been taught so much over these sessions and I’m so sad that this part of the journey is coming to an end but that’s where all of you reading can get involved.
On 29th May I will be undertaking a tough fitness challenge GETFIT4THEFED with the aim of raising £150 for The Fed. Absolutely any donation would mean the world to me and help keep this special charity alive and running to help the neediest in our own local Jewish community.
