Why am I walking 25km to raise money for the Fed? Gratitude is the answer!!
For the past ten months the Fed has supported me. Last year, I nearly died. I had heart block and I was hospitalised for 19 days. Whilst waiting for my pacemaker the doctors found a mass on my kidney which turned out to be cancer!!
The Fed sent volunteers to go grocery shopping for me when I was too weak following my two major operations. When I was stronger, the Fed found volunteers to take me grocery shopping.
I had three appointments to see my urologist at the Withington Community Hospital, The Fed found volunteers to take me to each appointment. The weekly phone calls from the Fed made me feel that someone cared about me. Raising money for The Fed is the very least i can do, after all they are FEDtastic!!!
