The Mademoiselles Committee Lingerie Show

On Sunday 29^th March, a bevy of local girls sashayed down the catwalk to showcase luxury lingerie brand, Lise Charmel, in aid The Fed. The evening, held at The Victoria and Albert Hotel in central Manchester, is on course to raise over £1,800.

The ladies only evening, attended by more than 180 people, was organised by the Mademoiselles Committee which compromises of Fed Fundraising Assistant Zoe Slotwiner, Prestwich-based make-up artist Vanessa Serene, and physiotherapist Daniella Gardner. Zoe said:

“This was the committee’s first ever event and our aim was to make new people aware of all the different services that The Fed offers. We also wanted people to have a fun night out with the girls! There was such a good atmosphere and the night was a huge success with people aged 17 to 75 attending.

Attendees could browse around boutique stalls with local businesses selling make-up, accessories, skin products, hats and artwork. They were then treated to a fabulous catwalk show. Thanks to our beautiful professional models, Sophie Woolfstein, Abby Taylor, Danya Sarussi, Eden Jupe and Chanel Elkayam who gave up their time to volunteer for The Fed.ææææ

Prestwich-based vocal coach, Jo Bernstein, provided live entertainment for the evening.æ Her students treated the crowd to a variety of old and new sounds.æ Many thanks to Jo Bernstein, Lydia Gordan, Immy Hart, Rachael Winder, Ellie Wolstenholme and Verity Wolstenholme for their lovely singing.

Vanessa Serene, who ïglammed up’ the models for the evening said:

“The Lingerie Show definitely exceeded our expectations. I am amazed and so happy to be involved in a committee which puts on new and exciting events. Most of all, I feel honoured to be having fun and raising money for such a worthwhile cause at the same time! The Mademoiselles Committee will put on more events in the near future and continue to raise awareness for The Fed“.
