250 guests attended The Fed’s Ladies Lunch with Nicola Shindler OBE at the Hilton Suite yesterday and raised vital funds to support The Fed’s life transforming – and often life saving – work with one in seven Jewish homes in Greater Manchester.
The event was chaired by Gabrielle Adlestone.
Before listening to Nicola in conversation with Danni Hewson guests heard Elayne Halpern talk emotionally and powerfully about The Fed’s support of her and her 3 children, including her elder son, Yehudah, who has autism and ADHD and his younger brother, Mordechai, who has very similar difficulties.
Elyane finished by saying “Having The Fed means someone has my back. It means however tough it gets, I’m not alone – they’re in my corner. Thank you so much for listening to me. Thank you for supporting The Fed and for saving my life.”
Nicola spoke about her fascinating, award-winning career and took questions from the audience.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and donated so generously.
Your support ensures The Fed can remain as the Manchester Jewish community’s safety net!
