We recently hosted a free all-female event aimed at empowering women through education about how to thrive through menopause.

Led by good friends Jude Moryoussef – a personal trainer and peri-to-post menopause wellness specialist, and Suzy Glaskie – a podcaster and functional medicine health coach, the session was jam-packed with tips to help improve the lives of women during their middle to later years.

The duo has teamed up to launch Second Spring Wellbeing, with the aim of empowering women in the workplace to navigate the perimenopause and menopause with ease, joy and confidence. They described life as being like a football game, with most people in the room having completed the first half, and now at half time needing to plan how to make the second half great.

The answer, they proposed, comes through how women treat themselves – it being key to look after our physical, mental and emotional health.  How to achieve this? By making small, manageable lifestyle changes, with the accent on simplicity, and by increasing how much we keep moving.

Jude who is also the creator of the Sensation cooling scarf donated a sample to be raffled and Suzy donated a 60-minute private coaching session.

Event organiser, Natasha Harries commented, “I think everyone went away with the intention of being a little kinder to themselves, moving more, prioritising our sleep and eating in a way that helps us to thrive!
