15 Holocaust survivors and My Voice storytellers attended a special viewing of their picture portraits in the Generations:Portraits of Survivors Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum North.

The Fed is the Northern Partner for the exhibition.
The Storytellers were joined by their families and close friends along with My Voice volunteers, Fed trustees & staff.
Raphi Bloom, The Fed’s Director or Fundraising & Marketing, welcomed the guests and described how proud The Fed is to have ensured that northern based My Voice Storyteller Survivors became part of this prestigious exhibition and “received the recognition they so richly deserve.”

He went on to state that “we understand that we have developed a precious and priceless resource with the unique My Voice project and we acknowledge the responsibility that comes with that.”

Simon Hill, the President of The Royal Photographic Society, who took the pictures of the My Voice Storytellers for the exhibition spoke about how moved he was to be involved and how within a few moments of arriving in the homes of the Survivors he was photographing “it was like being with friends.”

Thank you to the hugely talented Robert Marks for his pictures of the evening.

The exhibition is on until the summer of 2023 and we encourage everyone to go and see it. It is simply fantastic.
