National Care Home Open day was marked at Heathlands Village last Wednesday (26 June) by extending an open invitation to join the home’s residents and members of The Fed’s Moorview community for an afternoon concert.

The home’s activity centre was as jam-packed as the delicious home-baked scones served with cream, as guests and their families mingled with villagers and enjoyed entertainment by Glen James who performed timeless classics by artists including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Perry Como. Visitors were also given a tour of the home’s communal areas and had a chance to see inspect the private accommodation on offer.

Care Home Open Week, from 24 to 30 June 2024, is an annual event that celebrates the valuable contributions of care homes and promotes transparency, understanding, and engagement within the care sector.
