The Fed’s first face-to-face event in almost two years drew a sold-out audience of over 120 guests at the 2021 Business Breakfast in Manchester Hall, raising a staggering total of more than £50,000.

Welcomed by Raphi Bloom, Director of Fundraising & Marketing, the gathering enjoyed a catered breakfast before hearing from Fed Volunteer, Michael Goldman, about the impact that giving time to others can have on the volunteer. Michael spoke movingly, describing how in supporting other during Covid-19, he found himself benefitting from the time and assistance given to strangers.

Guest speaker, Anna Blackburn, Managing Director of Beaverbrooks the Jewellers – interviewed by former BBC 5live presenter Danni Hewson – provided a mixture of light relief and fascinating insight into the world of top-flight retail development, before taking questions from the floor.

Reflecting on the morning, a delighted Raphi Bloom said:

“It was unbelievably great to be back in the room with our amazing team for our first in-person event. You cannot beat speaking to people face to face, and the buzz in the room showed just how much we and our guests have missed this sort of engagement.”
