THE FED IS SEEKING A SOCIAL WORKER TO WELCOME INTO ITS

FANTASTIC COMMUNITY ADVICE & SUPPORT TEAM (CAST)

The Fed is an extraordinary place to work. We are a charity which supports people of all ages living within the religiously and culturally diverse Greater Manchester Jewish Community.

A wonderful job opportunity has arisen for a registered Social Worker, to work with both adults and children, in our Community Advice and Support Team (CAST).

CAST delivers a superb community social work service. The work is wide-ranging, exciting, and steeped in the highest social work values.

CAST’s vision is for:

“Children, young people and their families to live safe,

healthy lives and achieve their full potential”.

To achieve this we prioritise building positive, trusting relationships with the people who need our support, to enable and support them to make changes.

We do it together.

The team is small, close-knit, solution-focused, and good fun! Its workers feel extremely well supported and valued by their colleagues, manager, other teams, and senior management.

The Fed recognises that social workers want a career rather than a job and to this end we proactively encourage personal development and progression and celebrate success.

The Fed understands the importance of supporting workers in being able to healthily combine career and professional development with home and family life.

It values the empowerment of its workers and respect for different opinions.

Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 based on experience. Hours: 37 per week, Monday- Friday.

Benefits:

  • Employee health scheme
  • Free DBS check
  • Generous holidays – increasing with length of service.
