The Fed’s Community Advice and Support Team (CAST) are looking to recruit a ‘Community Advisor’

28 hours per week, across the Community we support.Worked over 4 days or 5 mornings only.

£10.45 Per hour

Your role will be to provide a first point of contact to the Jewish Community of Greater Manchester; offering our support services for a wide and diverse range of needs.  Completing an initial Community Assessment and making recommendations for support services and aids, benefit entitlement, problem solving their unique needs.  Your remit will be a to offer direct support to the community clients; through community Support and Help Line support.

Your remit would be to support individuals and families, who have health and social care needs, within the Jewish community of Greater Manchester; working with Children, Adults, and Carers.

You will provide practical and emotional support, offer assistance and guidance, giving our clients, the confidence they need to live as independently as possible.

This is a diverse and rewarding post.

You should have proven excellent communication and assessment skills, previous experience of achieving positive outcomes, be creative and innovative, flexible, assertive, warm and approachable.  Similar experience is preferable but is not essential.  If you have a genuine interest and the desire to improve the lives of others, supporting them towards positive changes, you should read further.

You should be able to demonstrate effective outcomes within both group settings and within direct work with an individual.

Following an induction and training period, you will be responsible for your own case load and some group work; for these roles, you will require excellent time management skills, self-discipline and motivation.
