On August 23rd we will be joining this year’s trek4thefedchallenge – the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.
For those of you who know us, you’ll be thinking, ‘’so what’s the big deal, it’s Sunday where else would you be but up a mountain?’’
Yes, we’ve done all 3 before, but not in one go – this is 3 Sundays rolled into one! 24 miles, climbing over 5,000 feet in a 12-hour time limit – what happens if we’re too slow!
On a typical Sunday Daniel and I will walk an average of 8 miles and ascend around 2,000ft. But trust us this will be a challenge; boots must be tied by 6:30am and we will be accompanied by our super fit, highly energetic, yoga-walking, weight-lifting daughter…will we keep up?!
We are the lucky ones; we’ve been free to roam the beautiful English countryside for weeks now but not everyone is as fortunate. Not everyone is able to go out even with the easing of the restrictions and we are doing this for them and of course for The Fed who we are thrilled to support in their fantastic work looking after the social welfare of our community.
Your donations will keep us moving, every £ a precious stride onwards and upwards (and back down again…and again) and we thank you in advance for your encouragement.
