Heathlands Village is registered and approved by the CQC (Care Quality Commission). Visit the CQC’s site
Our home is in the residential suburb of Prestwich in Bury, Greater Manchester next to a picturesque golf course and historic moorland.
It is set in a beautiful, large landscaped site with lovely patio and lawn areas and two secure sensory gardens one with a seaside theme, the other, a woodland theme.
Our main building, above, features bright, contemporary communal areas including The Central Cafe – a modern barrista-style coffee shop.
This is a popular eaterie for residents and their visitors, as well as staff and from people from the local community.
Excellent, person-centred care
This includes room-service for anyone who prefers to eat in private.
Heathlands Village is rated “excellent” by Bury Local Authority and has been awarded Beacon Status accreditation under the national “Gold Standards Framework” for end-of-life care.
Out of 66 care homes receiving this accreditation in the north West, Heathlands Village is one of just 16 that have achieved “Beacon Status”. This is the highest possible standard. Only one other care home in the whole of Greater Manchester has achieved this level. We are extremely proud of our staff for attaining helping us achieve this!
Our most recent CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspection report is dated 24 March 2016. We were evaluated as “outstanding” for responsiveness to residents’ needs and “good” overall. You can access the report here

Heathlands Village is run in accordance with the religious and cultural needs of people of the Jewish faith. We have a purpose built community synagogue (shul) on the ground floor of our main building.
We observe the Sabbath (Shabbos/Shabbat) and festivals (Yomim Tovim/Chaggim) and mark these with special activities, entertainment and meals.
We offer three shiurim (religious lectures) a week.
All food prepared in our kitchens is kosher and under the supervision of the Manchester Beth Din. We do not permit foods which do not have a hechsher (certificate that it is kosher) to be brought into our buidlings).
The people who live here choose their own level of Jewish religious and spiritual observance as they did in their own homes.
We are happy to accept residents and day service users of faiths other than Judaism or none at all. Read more
