As a part of our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration we are ‘going for a walk’! For 2 full days in the glorious Cumbrian countryside we will be walking 2km for every year since our chuppah, that’s 50km (each!) …. attempting to spend the most intensive time we will have had together!
And it’s all for an organisation close to our hearts, The Fed’s My Voice project.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Windemere Children, 300 brave Jewish youngsters who, having survived the horrors of the Holocaust, made a new life for themselves in the UK. We will walk, a long way it seems, in the footsteps of their journey and remember those who understood the true value of freedom and friendship. “My Voice” has captured six of their unique stories in our life-storybook collection (of 45 books and counting). With your generous support, more of our precious survivors will be able to capture their testimonies and contribute to the important education work that the My Voice project is delivering.
The Trek is happening on 8 – 9 June and we really hope you will show your love and support, in whatever way you can, towards our happy Silver Medal milestone, with your gifts all directed to The Fed’s My Voice project
