THE CHARITY BOX has opened its doors to customers at its new bigger and better premises in Cheetham Hill village.
This well-known and popular shop donates 100% of its profits to support The Fed. We threw a special party for volunteers on Sunday (18th January) at Heathlands Village to celebrate the new shop’s opening.
The Fed’s Fundraising Manager Rochelle Broman says:
“The new shop located next to Nat West allows us to have more room to display our goods. Dropping off donated goods will also be easier for our donors as there’s access to the back of the shop from Sandy Bank Road by Martin’s Bakery.
We want to thank everyone who continues to support THE CHARITY BOX and those who visit the shop to see Karen and her merry band of volunteers.”
Local volunteer Anita Marchrones loves the new shop with her exclaiming that “it’s like walking into a boutique”. Another of THE CHARITY BOX’s volunteers, Clive Weller, echoes Anita’s thoughts:
“The new shop is lovely and the atmosphere is fabulous. The enthusiasm that Manager Karen Morse and Deputy Manager Cathy Hills show is inspiring – they make volunteering at the shop a joy!”
