Karen Morse manager of THE CHARITY BOX, her deputy Cathy Hills and their band of hard-working volunteers are celebrating record sales profits for the Cheetham Hill charity shop which donates 100% of its profits to support The Fed.
Accounts for the financial year ending November 2014 demonstrated a best ever income of £106,000 helping to fund our social care services for people of all ages.
“We’ve got a great team and loyal customers – the only thing holding us back has been lack of space.ææ But we’re going to have more room to display our goods and so increase sales from 13 January. Our current corner shop next to Boots will be closing and we’re going over the road to bigger premises next to Nat West bank. Dropping off donated goods will also be easier for our donors. There’s access to the back of the shop from Sandy Bank Road by Martin’s Bakery.”
