There was joy and celebrating for all the residents of Heathlands Village over Purim, with parties, costumes and games the order of the day!

The chilly weather did nothing to dampen our spirits, and the celebrations began with a wonderful megillah reading in the Heathlands Village Shul.

Attended by close to 150 people, residents mingled with visitors young and old, as the community turned out in force for this highlight of the year.

On Purim afternoon, the Memorial Hall was decked out fit for a King, and as the party got underway, some residents couldn’t help but get up and dance – as well as  staff too! Visitors came to join in the fun, including pupils from local schools and Chabad Lubavitch of Manchester.

Jennifer Berger, Deputy Manager of The Fed’s Activity Centre, said “This is a wonderful, fun time of year that allows residents to really let their hair down and get into the spirit of the day!”
