I am so excited to take on this challenging ‘trek4thefed’ to raise much-needed funds for this wonderful organisation.
The Fed helps so many people, and offers everything to our community, and I hope that with the support of my family, friends – and anyone who can support the vital work The Fed does – that I can raise enough money to help ensure the future of these services.
I have a personal connection to The Fed, and feel lucky to have had the opportunity to teach Pilates over the last three years for members of the community at The Fed’s Purple Room.
We have a lovely group of 25 ladies, all from different backgrounds, who enjoy an hour dedicated to fitness and socialising every Monday night, as well as a group of carers and service-users who I lead in a chair Pilates class on Thursdays.
As a mother of four boys, one daughter-in-law and Sonny the dog with my husband David, I know what challenges life can throw up – but I’m happy to throw myself into this challenge, to support others less fortunate than myself.
This will be 100km of sheer determination over four days treking for The Fed – a mixture of exhilaration, exhaustion, and at times probably a lot of frustration. There may be times when I want to give up, but for the sake of those relying on the funds we will raise, I will soldier on!
The Yam L’Yam route is one of the most iconic in Israel, crossing from west to east, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Sea of Galilee – so let’s do this for the girls!!
Please support me however you can….any donation large or small is greatly appreciated.
Lots of love
