The work that The Fed does is nothing short of extraordinary. The charity’s long-standing commitment to Manchester’s Jewish community has transformed thousands of lives. It has brought light to moments that can often seem to be dark, not only for those that need help, but also for the relatives of those requiring The Fed’s services.
Almost four years ago, my grandparents found that they could no longer live independently due to an unfortunate series of ailments and subsequently reached a point at which they could not manage on their own. With this, they both became full-time residents of Heathlands Village – the charity’s renowned Jewish care home.
During a testing time in my family’s lives, The Fed helped alleviate the angst that we felt for the safety and care of my grandparents. Heathlands Village allowed them to remain physically and mentally active, continue to enjoy a vibrant Jewish life and reduce any feeling of helplessness. We are extremely grateful for the support and assistance that The Fed continues to provide for my grandma.
Without The Fed, many Jewish families across Manchester would be left unsupported during the times when they need it most. This is why I support The Fed and I’m doing this skydive in support of the tremendous work that the organisation does.
