Residential care

Watch Roy’s Story:

Heathlands Village offers older people residential care in a modern, safe, homely Jewish environment.

Our caring, well-trained staff look after people who have a range of care needs including dementia.  They provide round-the-clock support and reassurance.

We strive to help people live life as fully as possible whether they are with us for a short stay or permanently.

As well as providing accommodation and meals, our staff can help you with help with all aspects of personal care including: washing, showering, bathing, helping to go to the toilet, shaving, dressing, moving around and  taking medication.

We employ a team of Activity Coordinators who run a varied programme of events, entertainment and outings.  We aim to give our residents lots of choice as to how to spend their day, keeping them stimulated and happy.

Funding your care at Heathlands Village

People who are unable to afford to pay privately for residential care may qualify for funding from their Local Authority (LA).  They will first need to have an LA community care assessment. This establishes what type of care they will need and if they meet the LA’s criteria for funded care.

The LA will also require a financial assessment.

Family contribution

LA funding for residential care does not meet the actual cost of care at Heathlands Village.  Where possible, we ask residents’ families to contribute to the shortfall in the cost.

If a resident has no family or the family cannot afford to contribute The Fed may be agree to make-up the shortfall in funding.
