Heathlands Village accommodates the religious and cultural needs of people of the Jewish faith, through observance of the Sabbath (Shabbos) and festivals, and provision of exclusively kosher food.
However our home is happy to accept residents and day service users of other faiths or no faith.
The Miriam Hytner Shul
Heathlands Village’s purpose-built Miriam Hytner synagogue (shul) is used daily by residents and members of the local community.
Our Religious Director, Reverend Rosen, provides pastoral care and religious guidance to residents and relatives, supervises kashrus and arranges weekly shiurim. Our kitchens are licensed under the authority of the Manchester Beth Din.
